People normally visits court to seek remedy or justice for the damage or dispute arise, but initially this process of justice takes a huge time to settle dispute & which sometimes gives rise to doubt over the judicial system whether justice will be deliver or not.

William Ewart Gladstone once stated that “Justice Delayed is Justice Denied”. Hence the courts slow process of awarding decree give rise to ideas to find some alternate way to seek justice which indeed be legitimate & enforceable.

Everyone knows “Necessity is the mother of invention” & this gave birth to new way & means to seek remedy i.e. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). ADR is a way if adopted provides a fruitful results relating to time consumption, cost, court technicalities, further conflict.

Alternative Dispute Resolution involves various methods to settle dispute like Arbitration, Conciliation, Mediation, Negotiation, Lok Adalat. In India, there is a laws in place to cater disputes through ADR as follows: 1. Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, 2. Legal Services Authority Act, 1987 & 3. Section 89 of Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.

Hence in this Covid 19 pandemic situation seeking quick remedy through approaching court might be a hardship. So, people may right now try their hand in ADR which is the most effective means & fastest process to seek remedy. Covid 19 pandemic is really a serious issue which is not going to vanish any sooner, that’s why keeping health issues in mind people must resolve their dispute & settle their difference in the most generous & efficient mean i.e. ADR.
